christmas is my favourite time of the year. i love listening to overplayed carols and watching reruns of shows i've already watched. i love the dark winter streets that seem less scary with random bushes/stair railings wrapped with holiday lights. i love seeing a million chocolate discounts all over weekly grocery flyers. i love the christmas-ed holiday cups coffee shops give you. i love the lighted decorations and cut-out snowflakes that overtake every store. i love the idea of perfectly-wrapped presents, and overly-eager kids ripping them apart. i love the fat red man that eats your cookies and drinks your milk. i love the twinkle in everyone's eyes as they countdown days until the 2week break.
and i love the pictures of trees intertwined with lights and glossy ornaments and stockings across a fireplace, because we don't have any of those. we don't celebrate christmas. we don't have a huge family christmas dinner because all our extended family is on the other side of the world. our house isn't the least bit decorated or lighted. we don't give each other presents. i'm fine with it though..i'm not going to make my parents HAUL a huge tree and spend lots of money over decors just to take it down couple weeks later. and its not like seeing a random tree in the middle of my living room will automatically change our lack of christmas spirit. but anyway,
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! hope you are currently enveloped with thousands of cookies and gingerbread men and yummy deserts!
